Mr Ahmad Iqbal Chaudhry moved his motion regarding the financial crisis of Local Governments, particularly in urban areas.

On a motion moved by Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, under Rule 127 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the House granted leave to move resolutions under Article 128(2)(a) of the Constitution for extension of the following ordinances:

1)      The Punjab Healthcare Commission (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 (IV of 2024)

2)      The Punjab Price Control of Essential Commodities Ordinance 2023 (V of 2024).

Subsequently, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs moved resolutions for seeking extension of the Assembly in respect of the above Ordinances. The House adopted the resolutions.

Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, laid before the House the following reports, which were referred to the concerned Public Accounts Committees, with the directions to examine and report within one year:

After getting suspension of Rules from the House, Mr Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs moved a resolution that on May 9 a political party plotted a civil war in Pakistan, causing severe damage to national security institutions and the martyrs' monuments. The House praised these institutions for their patience and wisdom, expressing pride in their efforts and standing with them. The House demanded justice for the perpetrators and planners of the tragedy and expects all political parties to play a positive role in the country's security and development. The nation is proud of these institutions and stands with them in their efforts to prevent such heinous conspiracy in the future. The House adopted the resolution.
