Mr Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti son of Rai Bashir Ahmad Khan Bhatti was born on November 23, 1959 at Nankana Sahib. An Aitchisonian, who graduated first from Government College, Lahore in 1980 and then from California State University, California, USA in 1982; and obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1989 from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. A lawyer and a businessman, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2008. He has visited Iran and USA, where he lived from 1990 to 2005. His father served as Member, Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55 and as Member, National Assembly during 1965-69 and 1993-96; his uncle, Rai Rasheed Ahmad Bhatti served as Member National Assembly during 1977, 1988-90; another uncle of him, Rana Shaukat Mehmood served as Member Punjab Assembly during 1970-77 and 1988-90 and also functioned as Leader of Opposition and Minister for Revenue and Health.
